US News and World 2016 Ranks New Jersey Schools

New Jersey High School Report 2016

New Jersey high school students are assessed in math and English language arts via the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers, or PARCC, exams. High school students are required to study a world language to graduate, according to the New Jersey Department of Education.

There are numerous New Jersey schools in the 2016 U.S. News Best High Schools rankings, including 31 with gold medals, 36 with silver medals and 42 with bronze medals. Gold medal winner High Technology High School is located in the Monmouth County Vocational School District, and is roughly 50 miles each from Trenton and New York City.
